About Advanced Windows

The extensive range of doors and windows offered to our Craigmillar customers is of the highest quality possible, developed utilising the latest most sustainable manufacturing methods in one of Europe’s most advanced extrusion facilities.

All our uPVC product frames are produced utilising 80% recycled materials and are made to last, leading the double and triple glazing market into a new generation of sustainable production.

Glazing

All our double and triple glazed windows come equipped with energy reflecting glass as standard which works by transmitting solar energy from the outside to the inside of your home, whilst reflecting and keeping interior warmth.

To help prevent condensation from forming, thermo spacer bars have also been installed to remove cold spots from around the edge of the glazed pane, preventing mould development and further increasing unit efficiency.

Frames

Frames play a huge part in determining the energy efficiency and weather condition resistance of a window or door unit, and inadequately fitted frames are a major cause of heat loss and pricey energy expenses for house owners throughout the Craigmillar area.

We use a multi-chamber design for all of our frames that serve as a barrier versus the outside air and prevent the heat from your home from escaping.

Heat retention is important for preventing extortionate energy expenses due to the fact that it prevents heat from leaving nearly as quick as your heater can create it.

Our frames permit our clients to take pleasure in wonderful energy efficiency scores throughout even the coldest winter seasons and are among our major reasons for our windows being A rated by the BRFC.

Energy Efficiency

Home heating expenses have skyrocketed recently, and Craigmillar house owners are paying more than essential as a direct outcome of badly installed, or inadequately performing, doors and windows.

In fact, over 20% of all the heat loss from a standard domestic home in Scotland is approximated to be a direct outcome of this, indicating that selecting the most appropriate new triple or double glazed windows is an exceptionally essential financial choice.

Given the significant impact that energy efficiency has on your family’s finances, and the fact that finding windows with the greatest possible energy efficiency can be a very demanding job, we understand that finding the right window for your needs is a difficult prospect.

Because of this, we’ve made sure to create a highly energy-efficient range of units for you to choose from, with our products currently assisting our customers conserve hundreds of pounds every year in their energy expenses.

The energy efficiency of a window is gauged in U-Values, with the lower the U-Value, the more energy efficient it is.

Advanced’s products have some of the most remarkable u-vales of any windows and doors on the market, with our standard double glazed windows alone offering an excellent u-value of 1.4 W/m2K (A-rated).

Our double glazing also includes the option of further decreasing this to just 1.2 W/m2K, and by making use of Soft Coat Xtra and Argon Gas, our triple glazing has the ability to achieve a u-value of just 0.8 W/m2K, perfect for those looking to increase their energy efficiency.

It is approximated that replacing your existing windows and doors with double or triple glazed units installed by the experts here at Advanced could conserve you approximately 40% on your yearly energy costs.

Security

Frequently
Asked Questions

Sash windows are characterized by their traditional design, featuring a vertical sliding motion. On the other hand, casement windows offer greater flexibility with openers that can be pushed out or tilted in.

2. Do timber effect sash windows closely resemble real timber?

Our uPVC timber effect windows boast high-quality custom-made decorative finishes, providing a remarkably realistic appearance. We meticulously match these windows to existing frames, ensuring they are virtually indistinguishable from real timber, even at a distance.

3. What is the typical installation time for windows and doors?

The installation duration varies depending on site conditions and complexity. Generally, a two-person installation team can complete three to six windows per day.

4. Who installs your windows?

We exclusively deploy our fully trained and accredited in-house installers for all our projects.
