About Advanced Windows

The extensive range of doors and windows offered to our Cove customers is of the highest quality possible, produced utilising the latest most sustainable production methods in one of Europe’s most advanced extrusion centers.

All our uPVC product frames are developed utilising 80% recycled materials and are made to last, leading the double and triple glazing market into a new generation of sustainable production.

Glazing

All our double and triple glazed windows come geared up with energy reflecting glass as standard which works by transmitting solar energy from the outdoors to the inside of your home, whilst reflecting and keeping interior warmth.

Thermo spacers have also been installed to prevent cold areas from forming around the edges of the glass panes, in turn minimising the chances of condensation and mould development and increasing the overall performance of the windows.

Frames

Frames play a substantial part in determining the energy efficiency and weather condition resistance of a window or door unit, and improperly fitted frames are a major reason for heat loss and costly energy costs for house owners across the Cove location.

We use a multi-chamber construction for all of our frames that function as a barrier against the outdoors air and prevent the heat from your home from getting away.

Heat retention is necessary for preventing extortionate energy costs since it prevents heat from getting away nearly as quick as your heater can create it.

Our frames allow our customers to enjoy great energy efficiency rates throughout even the coldest of winters and are among the significant factors in our windows being A rated by the BRFC.

Energy Efficiency

Home heating costs have increased in recent years, and Cove house owners are paying more than needed as a direct outcome of badly installed, or poorly performing, windows and doors.

In fact, over 20% of all the heat loss from a standard domestic home in Scotland is approximated to be a direct result of this, suggesting that picking the most appropriate new triple or double glazed windows is an exceptionally essential financial choice.

Given the significant effect that energy efficiency has on your family’s financial resources, and the fact that discovering windows with the greatest possible energy efficiency can be an incredibly difficult job, we understand that finding the right window for your requirements is an overwhelming prospect.

For this reason, we’ve striven to create a highly energy efficient range of units for you to choose from, with our products already saving our customers hundreds of pounds every year after installation in decreased energy bills.

A window’s energy efficiency is measured in u-values, with the lower the u-value, the more energy efficient the window is.

Advanced’s products have some of the most remarkable u-vales of any doors and windows on the market, with our standard double glazed windows alone offering an excellent u-value of 1.4 W/m2K (A-rated).

Our double glazing also features the option of further reducing this to just 1.2 W/m2K, and by utilising Soft Coat Xtra and Argon Gas, our triple glazing has the ability to attain a u-value of just 0.8 W/m2K, ideal for those looking to increase their energy efficiency.

It is approximated that by having existing doors and windows replaced by double or triple glazing installed by the expert fitters here at Advanced, you could conserve yourself as much as 40% on your yearly heating bills.

Security

Nothing is more crucial than the safety of our enjoyed ones, and picking units that offer excellent security features is necessary when choosing your replacement windows and doors.

To start with, easy upgrading from traditional single glazing to double or triple glazing is a significant enhancement for your home security, including additional layers in between you and the outside, and making it a lot harder for an intruder to get entry.

We take security an action further at Advanced by utilizing fully welded robust frames and internal glazing that guarantees that the protecting glazing bead can not be removed from beyond the building.

Strong hinges, high quality handles, and high performance multi-point locking system are also included as standard.

If you’re looking for something much more secure than our standard enhanced glass, we also offer strengthened and laminated glass that can quickly be fitted onto your windows.

We evaluate our products to ensure they’re the most long lasting and robust offered on the marketplace, with all the hardware components in the units tested for 600 hours before being accepted into production. (3x longer than the industry standard).

Casement Windows

Casement windows have long been the most popular window design in the UK, and with a timeless, classic design and exceptional versatility this doesn’t appear like altering anytime soon.

Our casement windows can be hinged from either the side or from the top and are considered one of the most energy efficient choices for practically any property.

Tilt and Turn Windows

Tilt and turn windows are a popular variation on the timeless casement window, geared up with an innovative hinge system for ultimate versatility.

Tilt and turn windows can either be opened with the top ’til ted’ inwards for maximum ventilation or ‘turned’ approximately 90 degrees inwards from the side.

A tilt and turn window can operate as a legitimate emergency exit if it is opened fully in the ‘turn’ position

French Windows

French windows work in a similar way to french doors, with two different openings, each opening from one side of the frame.
French windows are a highly elegant window option and function as an effective emergency exit when both sides are in the fully open position.

Sustainability

As a modern-day business operating with the current climate emergency situation in mind, sustainability is at the heart of whatever we do, and have customised each aspect of our production process to match, without jeopardising our product quality or efficiency.

Minimising Waste

We use recycled materials for as much as 80% of our uPVC frames, with most of our waste being processed at a recycling facility instead of being sent to landfill.

Lowering Carbon Emissions

We not only do all we can to limit our own carbon emissions, but we are also continuously looking for ways to help our customers reduce their own carbon footprint, and save lots of cash along the way.

Our multi-chamber technology and thermo spacer bars could help you reduce the frame carbon emissions of your home by up to 70%, by substantially reducing the amount of time you need to have your home heating unit switched on.

Frequently
Asked Questions

1. What sets apart "sash" windows from "casement" windows?

Sash windows are characterized by their traditional design, featuring a vertical sliding motion. On the other hand, casement windows offer greater flexibility with openers that can be pushed out or tilted in.

2. Do timber effect sash windows closely resemble real timber?

Our uPVC timber effect windows boast high-quality custom-made decorative finishes, providing a remarkably realistic appearance. We meticulously match these windows to existing frames, ensuring they are virtually indistinguishable from real timber, even at a distance.

3. What is the typical installation time for windows and doors?

The installation duration varies depending on site conditions and complexity. Generally, a two-person installation team can complete three to six windows per day.

4. Who installs your windows?

We exclusively deploy our fully trained and accredited in-house installers for all our projects.

5. Will removing window and door frames impact wiring or electrics in my home?

Typically, this is not an issue. However, if wiring is encountered during installation, work may be paused until a qualified electrician ensures a safe working environment.

6. Can burglars easily gain entry by removing the glass from your windows?

No, our Premier range features internally glazed windows, preventing the removal of glass from the outside unless it is broken. Glass removal can only occur from the inside.

7. Do your windows offer child safety features?

Certainly, we offer various safety and security solutions tailored to your needs. Our team will recommend the most suitable options at competitive prices.

8. Is cleaning obscure or decorative glass challenging?

No, as the pattern is on the inside of the pane, the outer surface of obscure or decorative glass is smooth, facilitating easy cleaning.

9. Do you have sash windows that tilt inwards for cleaning?

Yes, we offer such windows; however, sash horns cannot be included as they interfere with the tilting frame.
